Recently the Chinese company Elegoo, one of the main and most active manufacturers of resin printers, unveiled its latest project in a official press release on its website, the Elegoo Jupiter 6K 12.8″ 3D printer.
This authentic “beast” will be launched on the market, as on many other occasions, through a Crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform during the first days of September (according to an official statement).
So if you are interested in a Elegoo Jupiter 6K printer, with an extraordinary printing volume, this is a good opportunity to sign up for the financing round, where you can get a more than significant discount in the acquisition of it.
Update: If you are interested, you can now access Kickstarter where the project in question appears, and press the “Notify me when it is published” button. You can access from this same link.
Early booking on KickStarter
If you are not familiar with Kickstarter, you should know that in this type of financing different packages (or offers) of the product in question are exposed. These packages have a limited number of units, and there is usually an initial package at a lower price, to reward the first participants.
In the case of our printer, 500 units of Elegoo Jupiter 6K will be available at the price of 600 usd (approx. 505 euros) as “Early Bird”, and then another 2000 units at 740 usd (approx. 622 euros), as “Kickstarter Special”.
After the Kickstarter financing round, the printer will be launched on the market, and its official price will be about 1,300 usd. So we would be talking about discounts of 53.8% and 43% respectively, something to keep in mind.
Elegoo Jupiter 6K: Main Features
As we mentioned before, this new Elegoo brand resin printer looks like a real beast. We would be talking about a construction volume of 278x156x300mm, nothing more and nothing less.
On the basis that one of the most important characteristics of this type of technology is its construction volume, we would be facing one of the largest resin printers for home use on the market.
I think it would only be surpassed in terms of volume (correct me if I’m wrong) by the Peopoly Phenom printer, a resin 3D printer that we talked about in our blog some time ago in the following article: High-volume SLA printing, Phenom by Peopoly.
As you can see in the photo above, the size is worth seeing. Especially if you compare it with the washing machine Wash and Cure by Elegoo, on the left of the image.
However, this is not the only one of the features offered by the Elegoo Jupiter 6K. Its Monochrome LCD of 5448×3064 pixels offers us a 6K resolution in 12.8 “inches.
In addition, the Elegoo Jupiter 6K brings with it a new automatic resin filling system. In this way you will avoid having problems during printing because you run out of resin in the tray, it is not the first time that it happens to me being honest.
And of course, the rest of the characteristics that these types of machines already have, such as Z axes with double linear guides (very important), active carbon filter (air purifier), completely metallic structures, etc.
So now you know, if you are looking for a resin printer with a spectacular build volume, here you have the possibility of getting one at a more than reasonable price.

Since you did ask for corrections, there’s the Phrozen Mega 8K, the EPAX X133, and the EPAX X156. Just off the top of my head.
